Womble Carlyle Healthcare attorney, J. Marshall Allen and Don Johnson II, MD presented “Private Equity Acquisition of Physician Practice: An Alternative to Acquisition by Hospital System” to The South Carolina Spine Society at the Mills House Hotel on Saturday, September 30, 2017.
The presentation was designed to equip participants with discussion alternatives to acquisition by hospital systems.
The South Carolina Spine Society works to equip a variety of specialists with the knowledge and skills necessary to lead effectively in the ever-changing landscape of the healthcare environment, as it relates to care of the spine. Providing leadership for orthopedic surgeons, neurosurgeons, Physiatrists, RN's, PT's and Radiologists, the SC Spine Society promotes educational tools to support academic faculty.
J. Marshall Allen has practiced in the area of health care and administrative law for more than twenty years. He has represented a wide variety of health care and other professional providers, including physicians, dentists, accountants, physical therapists, nurses and chiropractors, as well as the professional practices of these providers.
