The Winston-Salem Dispute Resolution Center
The centerpiece of Womble Carlyle's ADR commitment is the Winston-Salem Dispute Resolution Center. In addition to premier mediation facilities, Womble Carlyle partnered with Firm Logic to construct a full scale mock courtroom facility that was specifically designed based on trial research facilities and experiences across the country. The Womble Carlyle Dispute Resolution Center has hosted mock trials with as many as six separate jury panels simultaneously receiving evidence and arguments while 25 counsel and clients observed both presentations and jury deliberations. There is simply no dedicated mock trial facility in the country that can match the dedicated space and technology located at the Winston-Salem Dispute Resolution Center.
In a world of high stakes litigation where clients' entire fortunes may ride on a single jury verdict, an independently administered mock trial under real life conditions to test themes, theories and predict outcomes may be the most important tool available to a client. Sometimes the glare of publicity or the burden of litigation expense compel parties to seek private trial or mini-trials on limited issues.
Womble Carlyle has considerable depth of Alternative Dispute Resolution services available to clients, other counsel and Courts. Womble Carlyle neutrals include Frank Bullock, former United States District Court Judge and Burley Mitchell, former North Carolina Supreme Court Justice. Womble Carlyle has brought together the judicial experience of Judges Bullock and Mitchell and the trial and jury consulting resources of Firm Logic, LLC to offer mock trial and mini-trial proceedings that are as real as the courtroom itself. Dr. Sandra Donaldson and Dr. Madeline Campbell of Firm Logic bring over 25 years of combined trial consulting experience in 75 jury trials in 25 states to your mock or mini-trial.
The presence and demeanor of an experienced Federal Jurist combined with real jurors in a real life setting provides guidance to parties and their counsel not available from any other trial analysis proceeding.
