Our firm has a long tradition of representing developers of planned community developments and resort developments throughout the Mid-Atlantic United States.
We serve as counsel to developers, builders and owners over the lifespan of projects, including acquisition, development, construction, municipal entitlements, management, operation, and sale of planned residential communities and resort developments. We provide advice and assistance with project-specific entity and joint venture documentation, due diligence activities, and contractual negotiations and documentation occurring in each phase of development, including related financing activity and impositions of easements and restrictions on behalf of property owners associations. Working together with members of other Womble Carlyle practice teams, we also advise these clients on zoning, land use and permitting issues, environmental, tax and other regulatory matters and, where necessary, can provide strong litigation support.
