Amanda is a trial attorney in Charlottesville, Virginia, where she focuses her practice on business and antitrust litigation and counseling, education law, and criminal defense.
Amanda has advised individuals and large and small businesses in a wide variety of matters. Her experience includes litigating contract disputes, business torts, criminal matters, tax and bankruptcy issues, and antitrust matters in federal and state courts. She has also represented students in Title IX and student conduct proceedings before higher education panels. Amanda has helped clients through all stages of investigation and litigation, including initial case assessment and strategy, criminal and civil investigations, written and electronic discovery, hearings, depositions, and trials.
Prior to entering private practice, Amanda worked at the U.S. Department of Justice as both a Trial Attorney in the Tax Division and a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Sex Offense and Domestic Violence Section of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia. There she handled numerous investigations, depositions, hearings, and trials in courts throughout the Southeast.
Amanda also counsels clients with antitrust and distribution issues, including developing strategies for avoiding antitrust and distribution problems and complying with state and federal antitrust, franchise, and distribution laws. Amanda is a member of Womble Carlyle’s Impact Team, whose mission is to support the growth of businesses and entrepreneurs in the Impact Economy, and enjoys working with small businesses in the Charlottesville area.
