Betsy has more than a decade of experience litigating complex business matters involving intellectual property and business torts. Clients rely on her for zealous representation in matters involving misappropriation of trade secrets, data compensation claims involving pesticide data submissions, unfair and deceptive trade practices, unfair competition, fraud, complex contract and licensing disputes, non-competition agreements and other restrictive covenants, corporate raiding, the Computer Fraud & Abuse Act, and business torts between competitors. Her cases frequently include demands for restraining orders and permanent injunctions and complex electronic discovery issues.
Betsy’s broad experience includes cases in federal, state, and business courts in numerous jurisdictions, including claims crossing state and international lines. She also has significant arbitration experience. Her clients are engaged in diverse industries, including digital technology, software, media, pesticides, banking, consulting, and other high-tech industries.
In addition to her litigation practice, clients regularly rely on Betsy for counsel regarding protecting intellectual property and trade secrets, drafting restrictive covenants (including non-compete, non-disclosure, and non-solicitation agreements) and interpreting complex commercial agreements.
