He is an experienced litigator who represents building products manufacturers, developers, and construction companies in high-stakes litigation.
James concentrates his practice on complex litigation, including matters involving product liability, class actions, and construction defects. His practice includes national counsel representation of building product manufacturers.
James has defended manufacturers of engineered wood siding and trim products, elastomeric coatings, decking products, asphalt shingles, laminated beams, metal roof shingles, built-up roofing products, and stucco cladding. James has defended multiple class action and MDL lawsuits involving building products.
James regularly represents developers, contractors, and subcontractors in cases involving payment disputes. His practice also includes construction contract drafting and negotiation.
