He served as Womble Carlyle’s Chairman from 2002 to 2015, and is a litigator with more than four decades of high-stakes business, product liability and toxic tort trial experience. Keith also is the Chair-Emeritus of Lex Mundi, the world’s largest association of independent law firms.
Keith Vaughan is the Chairman Emeritus of Womble Carlyle having served as the firm’s Chairman and Managing Partner from 2002 to 2015.
Keith is Chair-Emeritus of Lex Mundi and has previously served as Chair of Lex Mundi and as Chair of the Managing Partners’ Committee of that organization. Over the past 40 years, Keith has tried numerous jury and bench trials, handled various administrative proceedings and argued a wide range of matters in appellate courts in matters involving business, product liability, toxic tort and environmental issues. He has served as national coordinating counsel for a Fortune 500 company’s product liability litigation, and was class counsel in a series of class action lawsuits.
