Marilyn has significant nonprofit board experience. She was a long standing member of the Board of Directors for the Food Bank of Eastern and Central North Carolina, and served as the President of its Board for two years. She also has been on the Board for Community Partnerships, Inc., Planned Parenthood, and is currently on the Board of Advisors for the Lucy Daniels Center. She is passionate about animal protection issues. In addition to her ABA work, she serves on the Board of Directors for the Animal Legal Defense Fund, the Wake County SPCA, and on the Board Advisors for Animals & Society Institute.
