Mark is an experienced business attorney focusing his practice in the areas of Bankruptcy and Corporate Restructuring. His clients benefit from his wide-ranging industry experience representing public and non-public debtor entities, debtor-in-possession lenders, secured and unsecured creditors, vendors, and asset purchasers in restructuring and insolvency matters in retail, automotive, energy, steel, manufacturing, and other distressed industries and sectors.
Mark represents distressed companies and the creditors, officers and directors, and interest holders in such distressed companies in out-of-court and in-court restructuring and bankruptcy matters, throughout the mid-Atlantic region, but primarily in state and federal court in Delaware. Mark’s experience has run the gamut from providing advice to companies that are struggling financially, including preparing such companies for bankruptcy cases under Chapter 11 or Chapter 7 of the Bankruptcy Code (or state court insolvency proceedings), to advising parties concerned about the potential impact of insolvency on contracts, intellectual property interests and agreements, and other commercial matters. Mark also has represented debtors and creditors in cross-border matters, including cases filed under Chapter 15 of the Bankruptcy Code.
Mark is an active member of the Delaware community where he has served as guardian ad litem for children and adults in proceedings before the Family Court of the State of Delaware and the Court of Chancery of the State of Delaware. He has also represented victims of domestic violence in obtaining and enforcing protection from abuse orders, veterans seeking benefits, and children and their parents in immigration matters.
