Robert is a partner in the Real Estate Practice Group in Womble Carlyle’s Charlotte, NC office. Robert’s practice concentrates on real estate development projects for real estate developers and other real estate professionals, secured lending work for borrowers and lenders and real estate leasing and other transactional work for corporate clients. Robert has extensive experience in land acquisitions and assemblages, development and land use. Robert adds value to projects and to his clients through timely attention to help clients with problem solving, issue identification, and provides the right experience and skill set to help clients achieve their goals most efficiently.
Robert is a long time community leader and civic board member in Charlotte and also with strong ties to the Piedmont Triad, Triangle and Eastern North Carolina regions. Robert has served as a board of director member and as a trustee of various charitable and civic organizations. He is immediate past chairman of the Board of Trustees at East Carolina University. While earning his undergraduate degree at East Carolina University, Robert was named an Outstanding Business School Senior and received the Arthur H. Carter National Accounting Scholarship. Robert was a Rhodes Scholar nominee and captain of the East Carolina University varsity baseball team. He successfully completed the N.C. CPA examination after completing his undergraduate education. Robert graduated magna cum laude from Wake Forest Law School and served as an editor of the law review while attending.
