Sarah is an attorney in the Business Litigation practice group of Womble Carlyle's Charlotte office and a member of the Education and School Law Team. She represents and advises corporations, individuals, and public entities in business disputes and regulatory compliance. She provides day-to-day advice to clients in order to manage risk and resolve disputes.
Sarah is a knowledgeable education lawyer, working with public and public charter schools and institutes of higher education in employment, student, and policy matters. She regularly provides training and counsels clients on IDEA, Title IX, and Section 504 compliance. She has represented clients before the North Carolina Office of Administrative Hearings, the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction, and the U.S. Department of Education Office for Civil Rights. She advises public bodies on policy, procedural, governance, and judicial functions, including the North Carolina Open Meetings Law and Public Records Act.
She is also skilled in all stages of a business client’s dispute, from the initial fact investigation to the appellate level. Her commercial litigation experience includes government investigations, financial services, telecommunications, commercial construction matters. Sarah has extensive e-discovery experience, managing significant volumes of ESI with carefully chosen technology tools and team members.
Sarah practices in North Carolina state and federal court. Sarah has been recognized as a Rising Star by North Carolina Super Lawyers.
