BALTIMORE—Womble Carlyle attorneys Sky Woodward and Erin Mille have written an article published in the December 2009 issue of For the Defense magazine.

The article, entitled “New Risks for Manufacturers Take Root,” deals with how environmentally friendly or “green” construction products may create liability risks for builders and building product manufacturers.

For example, the push to get new green products onto the market in order to meet consumer demand may mean these products receive little field testing beforehand.

For the Defense
magazine is the official publication of DRI, the Voice of the Defense Bar.

T. Sky Woodward is a veteran civil litigator with extensive experience defending manufacturers in mass tort product liability cases as well as representing real estate clients in environmental claims. She has been honored as a “Leader in the Law” by the Maryland Daily Record and as one of the “Best Lawyers in America” for product liability litigation.

Erin C. Miller focuses her practice on complex environmental litigation and regulatory compliance matters for energy, chemical and manufacturing companies, commercial and residential property owners and operators, and real estate developers.

Recently Woodward and Miller joined Womble Carlyle attorney John Parker Sweeney in filing an Amici Curiae brief before the U.S. Supreme Court in a landmark Second Amendment case.
