The Copyright Office has granted a request by The National Cable & Telecommunications Association for a 30-day extension of the filing deadline for cable copyright Statements of Account (“SOA”) covering the first accounting period of 2010 (“2010/1”). The action will not take effect until publication in the Federal Register which is expected by early next week.

The 2010/1 SOAs, which would normally have been due August 29, will be considered timely if filed on or before September 29, 2010. Interest will also not begin to accrue until September 30.
