On Tuesday, March 17th, Womble Carlyle will sponsor a luncheon program hosted by the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) Baltimore Chapter titled, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act: Effective Management and Practical Tips for Corporate Counsel. This program will explore both general and specific issues in the modern era of Foreign Corrupt Practices Act management.

Womble Carlyle's Baltimore Office Managing Member, David Hamilton, will provide a general overview on FCPA to the luncheon attendees. Following this introductory presentation, a panel of experienced, in-house counsel and practitioners will advance the discussion by sharing their experiences and 'points of view' in such areas as contract drafting; identifying red flags; minimizing risks to ensure FCPA compliance; conducting due diligence in transactions; conducting and managing internal investigations; civil and criminal exposures; and practical tips for inside counsel.

Panelists include: Bill Bruner, Senior Corporate Counsel, Black & Decker; Carmina Hughes, Executive Director, Daylight Forensic; and Jannette Hasan, Senior Counsel - International Law Department, Northrop Grumman Corporation.

This luncheon will be held from 12:00-1:30 p.m. at Sullivan's Steakhouse in Baltimore, Maryland. The cost to attend is $15 for members and $30 for non-members. There is no charge for new members, first-time visitors, or members who bring an in-house first-time visitor.
