Allen Gibson to Speak at ABA Forum on the Construction Industry Meeting

CHARLESTON, S.C.—Womble Carlyle attorney Allen Gibson will speak at the American Bar Association Forum on the Construction Industry’s 2011 Fall Meeting. Gibson will speak on “When it Comes to the Lay of the Land, Forum Matters”.
Gibson will address crucial strategies for preparing, presenting and closing out contract disputes in state versus federal courts, both with and without juries. He will be joined in the discussion by the Honorable Jan Davis (U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania) and Stuart Sobel of Siegfried, Rivera, Lerner, De La Torre & Sobel, P.A., in Coral Gables, Fla.
The Forum on the Construction Industry’s Fall Meeting takes place Oct. 13-14 at the Westin Buckhead in Atlanta.
As the Practice Group Leader for Womble Carlyle’s Construction Practice Group, Allen Gibson has more than twenty five years of trial experience in state and federal courts as well as in arbitration proceedings. He represents a wide variety of businesses involved in the construction industry including owners, developers, design professionals, general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and sureties. Allen has extensive experience negotiating contracts on behalf of his clients. He practices in Womble Carlyle’s Charleston, S.C., office.
