Recap: Don Lampe at RESPA Compliance Webinar

Womble Carlyle attorney Don Lampe, a leading voice on banking regulatory matters, was among the speakers at the “Ensuring a Solid Foundation for RESPA Compliance in 2010” Webinar, sponsored by ComplianceEase and Womble Carlyle.
The seminar provided up-to-date, last-minute information on changes to Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA) for 2010. The 90-minute session provided answers about reconciling new RESPA disclosure requirements with existing state and federal laws, and helping clients understand the risks and remedies for non-compliance.
Lampe was joined in the Webinar by Laura Gipe, Compliance Specialist for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, and Jason Roth, Senior Vice President for ComplianceEase.
Don Lampe leads the Firm's Regulatory Compliance and Consumer Credit Practice Team within the Capital Markets Practice Group from the Firm’s Charlotte office. His practice includes compliance counseling, administrative and legislative matters, product development (including electronic delivery and e-commerce), litigation and enforcement and complex financial transactions (such as RESPA joint ventures) for some of the nation's largest banks and bank holding companies, thrifts and thrift affiliates, insurance companies, finance companies, technology companies and other financial service providers, as well as trade groups and industry organizations. He co-heads the Firm's Economic Stability & Solutions Team and has spoken before Congress numerous times about mortgage reform.
