With the recent turbulence in the financial markets, plan participants are questioning the safety of their retirement accounts. If you are a plan sponsor, how will you respond to these participants?
Womble Carlyle hosted a Webinar to discuss the impact of recent market changes on retirement plans, and what should be done to protect participants from the risk of large losses.
Those presenting were James Daniel, a member of Womble Carlyle's employee benefits group, who discussed the duties of a plan fiduciary regarding the selection and monitoring of plan investments, and Kelly Graves, a Certified Financial Planner with Charlotte's Carroll Financial Associates, who provided insight on the financial markets and the "red flags" to look for in your retirement plan.
