Event Detail
Former Microsoft Marketing Leader Scott Oki to Headline Womble Carlyle’s Thought Leader Speaker Series
November 10, 2010
Scott Oki was part of the leadership team that built Microsoft from a struggling start-up to a corporate giant. Within two years after being hired in 1982, Oki built Microsoft’s international division into a unit more profitable than its U.S. parent. By the time Oki retired as Senior Vice-President of Sales and Marketing in 1992, Microsoft was a billion-dollar company and one of the world’s leading brand-names.
Now, one of Bill Gates’ most trusted advisors is coming to Womble Carlyle to discuss the lessons he learned on the front lines at Microsoft. Oki also will discuss his current role leading the Oki Foundation, a non-profit initiative to improve children’s health and welfare.
The event will be held live in Atlanta, with a videoconference broadcast to other Womble Carlyle offices throughout the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic regions.
