Garth Gersten to Participate in Lawyers in the Classroom
Womble Carlyle attorney Garth Gersten will be participating in the Edward J. Lewis II Lawyers in the Classroom program sponsored by the Constitutional Rights Foundation Chicago.
The Lawyers in the Classroom program pairs attorneys with Illinois schools to help students understand the United States Constitution and legal system. Garth will be presenting and leading discussions in three elementary and middle schools in the Champaign, Ill., area on Oct. 14th, Oct. 29th and Nov. 18th.
Garth's initial presentation will ask students to consider a "No Weapons Allowed In School" rule and how that rule may be applied in different situations. From that lesson, students will learn how the wording of Constitution also may be interpreted in different ways.
Garth Gersten focuses his practice on insurance coverage issues, advising both policyholders and insurers. He is a frequent presenter on insurance coverage law matters. Earlier this month, he once again was named to Woodward/White Inc.’s annual list of The Best Lawyers in America for insurance law. He practices in Womble Carlyle’s Raleigh, N.C., office.
