Womble Carlyle will host its third program in the three-part series, Your Role in the Life of Government Funding Agreements, at the Umstead Hotel and Spa in Cary, North Carolina, on Thursday, April 24th, 2008. The first seminar covered various issues related to initiating government funding agreements and the second seminar focused on developing and maintaining the agreements. The third and final seminar in the series will be oriented around "Surviving Those Troubled Teen Years" of government funding agreements. The program will address the following issues and questions:

  • Dealing with auditors, inspectors, and congressional inquiries
  • What could be considered fraud?
  • Handling cure notices and default terminations
  • An agency with no money
  • Increased vigilance over BAA/TAA, tax, immigration, and export control compliance

Womble Carlyle lawyers and speakers for the seminar, Jim Kearney and Holly Svetz, have combined experience of nearly 50 years in the government contract process. Throughout the series, they will focus on anticipated new issues and hot topics related to government contracts, grants and other agreements.
