Jim Kearney to Present Webinar on “Made in America” Standards
March 8, 2012
Importers face an array of confusing regulations when it comes to labeling products. For example, a product may meet the requirements of the Buy American Act, making it eligible for sale to the U.S. government, yet still not meet the Federal Trade Commission’s rules to carry the “Made in the USA” label.
Womble Carlyle attorney Jim Kearney will provide valuable insight through a Webinar presentation on “Made in America” Standards. The Webinar takes place at 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 8th and is presented by the American Home Furnishings Alliance.
Jim Kearney regularly counsels clients on export, trade and procurement laws and regulations, country of origin determinations and FTC “Made in the USA” standards for labeling and marketing. He practices
in Womble Carlyle’s Washington, D.C., and Northern Virginia offices.
