Larry Norton and Jim Kahl to Discuss “Key Political Law Compliance Steps for Corporations”

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Womble Carlyle attorneys Larry Norton and Jim Kahl will present a Webinar on “Key Political Law Compliance Steps for Corporations.” The Webinar takes place at noon on Tuesday, Jan. 24th and is presented by the Association of Corporate Counsel.
 
Norton and Kahl will discuss potential pitfalls for businesses that engage with public officials or candidates for political office. They also will address strategies for national, state and local political law compliance heading into the 2012 election year.
 
Larry Norton and Jim Kahl head Womble Carlyle's Political Law Practice. They represent corporations, trade associations, non-profit organizations, and others in connection with campaign finance, lobbying, and gift laws. Before joining Womble Carlyle, Norton and Kahl served as General Counsel and Deputy General Counsel, respectively, of the Federal Election Commission from 2001-2007. They co-author a blog on political law issues called Political GPS. Norton and Kahl filed a brief in the Supreme Court in support of the winning party in the Citizens United case. Norton and Kahl practice in Womble Carlyle’s Washington, D.C., office.
