Nadia Aram, Carol Brani and Richard Caira To Update ABA Committee On Consumer Protection Developments

Womble Carlyle attorneys Nadia Aram, Carol Brani and Richard Caira will update the American Bar Association Section of Antitrust Law’s Consumer Protection Committee on recent developments in consumer protection law.
 
The presentation will cover cases, settlements, and other initiatives at the federal and state levels, as well as consumer class actions, Lanham Act litigation, and National Advertising Division case decisions.
 
The session takes place Tuesday, Jan 11th from 1-2 p.m. Lesley Fair, Senior Attorney with the Federal Trade Commission, will moderate. To register, send an e-mail to chomer@kelleydrye.com. Nadia Aram advises clients in a variety of business transactions involving the use and commercialization of intellectually property and technology. She has experience drafting and negotiating a broad variety of contracts, including technology licenses, services, consulting and other complex commercial agreements to help clients realize the value of their assets day-to-day, and as part of strategic product and technology acquisitions and divestitures.
 
Carol Brani focuses her practice on advising life sciences and information technology industry clients. She prepares and negotiates trademark and technology licensing agreements, joint development, clinical research, manufacturing, supply, commercialization, services, consulting and other commercial agreements.
 
Richard Caira focuses his practice on intellectual property transactions relating to software licensing, information technology and manufacturing. He drafts and negotiates sophisticated and complex technology-related agreements addressing all aspects of software licensing, software maintenance and support services, technology development services (including joint development agreements) and application service provisions.
