Pam Rothenberg to Present on Lease Agreements at WMACCA Advanced Contracts Conference

McLean, VA—On Tuesday, September 13, 2011, the Washington, DC Metro-area Corporate Counsel Association (WMACCA) will host a full-day conference on advanced contracts issues for in-house counsel. The conference, held at Capital One Financial Corporation in McLean, Virginia, will examine important aspects of the contracting process from negotiation through execution, offering practical tips on specific clauses and best practices.
During the conference, Womble Carlyle’s Pam Rothenberg will present a session entitled, “Demystifying the Lease Agreement: Key Tips for In-House Counsel.” This presentation will cover the significant provisions that in-house counsel should consider when drafting and negotiating lease agreements, including key lease terms from the tenant’s perspective and common provisions to be included or removed for maximum protection. The session will also provide attendees with practical tips for reviewing and negotiating lease agreements to achieve the most favorable outcomes, as well as insights into how to control outside counsel fees throughout the lease negotiation process.
Pam Rothenberg is the Managing Member of Womble Carlyle’s Washington, DC office, where she focuses her practice on commercial and multifamily real estate matters.
