Recap: Jimmy Kirkland Speaks at Georgia Water Resources Conference

ATHENS, Ga.—Jimmy Kirkland gave a presentation on the “Impact of Economic Downturn on Stormwater Management” at the Georgia Water Resources Conference.
The Georgia Water Resources Conference, held biennially since 1989, is a forum for discussing water quantity and quality issues in Georgia. Speakers include state and federal environmental and water quality experts, scientists and researchers. This year’s conference was held April 11-13 in Athens, Ga.

Jimmy Kirkland brings a strong technical background and regulatory experience to his legal practice as a member in the Environmental Practice Group of Womble Carlyle’s Atlanta office. Previously, he worked as a principal environmental engineer and manager for the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, Environmental Protection Division. He has more than 20 years of experience practicing environmental law.
