Recap: Neill Edwards, John Hunter Talk Economic Development Incentives at Tax Conference

CHARLOTTE, N.C.—Womble Carlyle attorneys Neill Edwards and John Hunter discussed the topic of ““Data Center Incentives – A Case Study in Economic Development” at the North Carolina Chamber Tax Conference. Womble Carlyle was a Gold Sponsor of the conference, which was held Nov. 17th at the Harris Conference Center in Charlotte.
The North Carolina Chamber’s 3rd Annual Tax Conference provided up-to-date information on state and federal tax law changes or proposed changes and a tax-reform dialogue centered on how best to keep and create jobs and strengthen and grow North Carolina’s economy. This conference was developed to provide companies with current information on state and federal tax-related issues and policies.

Neill Edwards has nearly two decades of experience in multistate and local tax planning, controversy, and related regulatory work on a national level as well as in multistate economic development matters. This experience covers all fifty states, and virtually all categories of taxes and related state regulatory imposts.
John Hunter focuses his practice on assisting and counseling clients with respect to economic development initiatives and opportunities in the Carolinas. Having served as Director of Economic Development for the two-state, sixteen-county Charlotte Regional Partnership, John works closely with domestic and international companies seeking to expand or relocate operations to the Carolinas and the southeast United States.
