CHARLOTTE, N.C.—Womble Carlyle attorneys Scott MacLatchie and Sean Perrin are presenters at the “Handling the Police Liability Claim” seminar sponsored by the National Business Institute. The seminar takes place November 17th, 2011, at the Holiday Inn Airport & Conference Center in Charlotte.

Scott MacLatchie focuses his practice on the defense of law enforcement officers and municipalities in police misconduct and related civil rights litigation in both state and federal courts. He has substantial trial experience with successful verdicts in a wide variety of cases including police shootings, deployment of police dogs, use of force (deadly and non-deadly), asset forfeiture and miscellaneous search and seizure matters ranging from false arrest to execution of high risk search warrants.

Sean Perrin
has extensive litigation experience, handling complex legal issues in state and federal court. Throughout his legal career, Sean has successfully handled a wide range of business litigation matters including public official and governmental defense, constitutional law, employment litigation, contract disputes, personal injury cases, wrongful death, and qui-tam litigation.
