Recap: Tracy Field Presentation Addresses Contractor Audits in Healthcare Industry

ATLANTA—Tracy Field, an experienced Healthcare regulatory attorney in Womble Carlyle’s Atlanta office, game a presentation on “Contractor Audits: What to Know and How to Deal with Them.” The panel discussion was part of the Institute of Continuing Legal Education in Georgia’s Health Care Fraud Institute. The event took place December 13th at the State Bar of Georgia Headquarters in Atlanta.
 
Field and other panelists focused on how to help healthcare professionals and providers handle audits and internal investigations.
 
Tracy Field focuses her practice on healthcare operational, reimbursement, research and regulatory compliance, and her clients include hospital systems, physician practices and others in the healthcare and life sciences industries. Previously, Field served as Executive Vice President of Compliance for Piedmont Healthcare in Atlanta. In this role, Field was responsible for compliance, government appeals, privacy, and information security operations for Piedmont Healthcare, a healthcare system of five hospitals, more than 50 primary care and specialty physician practices and a 900-member clinically-integrated physician network. She practices in Womble Carlyle’s Atlanta office.
