Womble Carlyle Hosts BB&T Environmental Roundtable in Atlanta

The 2009 BB&T Environmental Roundtable was held in Womble Carlyle’s Atlanta office on September 16-17, 2009, under the leadership of Jimmy Kirkland, Member in the firm’s Environmental, Energy and Toxic Tort Practice. The event drew nearly 45 attendees including John Rybak, BB&T Director of Environmental Risk Management, additional bank executives, consultants, regulators and developers.
At the roundtable, Kirkland gave a presentation on Storm Water Management and Erosion Control Issues. Other presentations included an EPA Region IV Brownfield presentation by Matt Robbins of the Environmental Protection Agency and an Atlantic Station Overview by Scott Condra of Jacoby Development. Attendees also took a tour of the LEED Gold certified BB&T building in Atlantic Station, where Womble Carlyle’s Atlanta office is located.
