Womble Carlyle Participates in NVTC General Counsel Panel: Avoiding Federal Regulatory Pitfalls

Tysons Corner, VA—Technology company in-house counsel live and work in an age of unprecedented challenges from new and changing legislative, regulatory and judicially created requirements. On April 1st, NVTC’s General Counsel Committee, sponsored by Womble Carlyle, will present a lively program on best practices related to changing federal laws and regulations and how in-house counsel can avoid such pitfalls.
 
The program, entitled, “In-house Counsel in the Cross-Hairs - How to Avoid Pitfalls Presented by New and Changing Federal Laws and Regulations,” will be held at the Ritz Carlton in Tysons Corner from 8:00-9:00 a.m., followed by networking. Discussion topics will include:
  • Dodd-Frank and its regulatory progeny
  • The False Claims Act (FCA)
  • The Mandatory Disclosure Rule for government contractors
  • Ruehle's Upjohn warning
  • Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS)
