Womble Carlyle to Hold Employer Breakfast Briefings on New ADA Amendments
Is your business ready for the new ADA Amendments Act (ADAAA)? The amendments take effect January 1st and will significantly broaden the scope of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
These changes likely will result in increased requests for accommodations for employees with disabilities. The amendments also likely will lead to increased litigation, particularly for employers who do not have an effective strategy in place to respond to these new changes.
Womble Carlyle will be holding two workshops in the Triad to help employers understand and adjust to the amendments. The workshops are as scheduled:
Greensboro
Monday, Nov. 17th
7:30a.m.-9 a.m.
Womble Carlyle Sandridge & Rice
300 N. Greene Street , Suite 1900 (Wachovia Tower)

Winston-Salem
Tuesday, Nov. 18th
7:30 a.m.-9 a.m.

Lucretia Guia and John Pueschel, attorneys on Womble Carlyle's Labor and Employment Team, will lead the sessions. Both John and Lucretia have extensive experience in advising employers on ADA-related issues and other topics dealing with employment law.
Breakfast will be provided at both workshops. There is no charge to attend, but seating is limited and registration is required. Please register by Thursday, Nov. 13th.
