Womble Carlyle to Sponsor Biotech Conference

Womble Carlyle Sponors 2008 Council for Entrepreneurial Development Biotech Conference - May 19-20
Womble Carlyle will sponsor the 2008 Biotech Conference to be held May 19-20, 2008, at the Benton Convention Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The conference, now in its 17th year, is hosted by the Council for Entrepreneurial Development and brings together a variety of life sciences industry executives to talk about the biotech industry in the Southeast and beyond.
Jim Hunt, former four-term Governor of North Carolina and Womble Carlyle member, will serve as a featured speaker on the opening day of the conference and Edward Saltzman, Founder and President of Defined Health, will open the second day of the conference. Art Foley, Sales Director of the firm's Life Sciences Industry Group, serves on the Steering Committee for the conference.

Jim Hunt is a nationally recognized leader in education and has led North Carolina through twenty years of dramatic economic change. Serving a historic fourth term as Governor, he has been at the forefront of education reform in his state and in the nation.
