Womble Carlyle’s Sandy Smith to Speak at LAVA, The Los Angeles Venture Association Conference

LOS ANGELES—Womble Carlyle attorney John F. Sandy Smith is among the speakers at the 2010 Los Angeles Venture Association (LAVA) 2010 Investment Capital Conference.
Smith will participate in a panel discussion on Private Equity, focusing on the market given the current financing conditions and portfolio challenges. Other discussion topics include Senior Debt,Junior Debtand Public Markets.
The conference takes place Wednesday, April 21st at the JW Marriott Hotel in Los Angeles. More than 600 attendees are expected for the event.
Sandy Smith represents numerous California and East Coast clients, and is an Emeritus member of the Stanford University Board of Trustees. He also serves on the Advisory Board of the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research (SIERP) and chairs the Advisory Board of the Institute for Research in Social Science at Stanford University (IRiSS).
