Allan has tried over a thousand cases in North Carolina state and federal courts since 1984, and has participated as chief appellate counsel in 282 cases reported in Westlaw since 1964. At age 54, in San Francisco, California, Allan was inducted by his North Carolina peers as a Fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers.
