Bernard Coleman is a Member in Womble Carlyle’s Corporate and Securities Practice Group and leads the firm’s Sports and Entertainment Practice in Atlanta.

As a Member of Womble Carlyle’s Corporate and Securities Group, Bernard serves as legal counsel to entrepreneurs and fast-growth middle market companies in a variety of industries including, manufacturing and distribution, technology, franchising, personal care, staffing, hospitality, and entertainment.

Bernard’s experience covers every aspect of organizing, financing, growing, acquiring and selling a business, including, corporate finance (seed and venture capital and debt financing), complex local, state and federal regulatory issues and corporate governance matters.

Sports and Entertainment Group

As head of Womble Carlyle’s Sports and Entertainment Group in Atlanta, Bernard serves as legal counsel to professional athletes, entertainers, and entertainment companies in all aspects of the sports and entertainment business. 
 
Bernard utilizes his extensive business experience to counsel professional athletes and entertainers in various business deals to help them make money and develop their brands beyond their sports and entertainment careers. As the creator of “10 Laws of Success for Professional Athletes: How Not to Go Broke!,” Bernard counsels current and former professional athletes (including sports legends) on how to convert their celebrity and relationships into profitable business ventures to create multi-generational wealth for their families.
