Betsy has more than a decade of experience litigating complex business matters involving misappropriation of trade secrets, unfair and deceptive trade practices, unfair competition, fraud, complex contract and licensing disputes, non-competition agreements and other restrictive covenants, corporate raiding, the Computer Fraud & Abuse Act, and business torts between competitors. Her cases frequently include demands for restraining orders and permanent injunctions and complex electronic discovery issues.

She also has significant experience in arbitration forums. - Protected company trade secrets and confidential information by prohibiting a top-level former marketing director from working for a national competitor in the digital technology industry by obtaining injunctive relief and negotiating an early settlement.
- Successfully defended a large financial institution on a trade secrets action which was resolved overwhelmingly in the client’s favor prior to arbitration.
- Efficiently and effectively defended pharmaceutical services company in a claim of misappropriation of trade secrets and confidential information.
- Defended financial institution against claims of misappropriation of trade secrets and confidential information, unfair competition, and employee raiding.
- Prosecuted claims of trade secret theft and unfair and deceptive trade practices against high-level former employee and chemical engineer and his new international employer.
- Represented a major international broadcasting company in defeating a preliminary injunction that would have delayed the launch of a highly-anticipated website. The dispute concerned trademark intellectual property rights.
- Represent major international manufacturer in a complex commercial dispute concerning intellectual property rights and a development and supply agreement.
- Successfully defended an aerospace and automotive products manufacturer in a complex intellectual property licensing dispute involving allegations of breach of contract and fraud related to the termination of a joint development agreement with a licensee of the company’s technology.
