Dana Stano is a member of Womble Carlyle's Intellectual Property Group and a registered patent attorney. Dana practices in the area of intellectual property, including patent preparation and prosecution, patent opinions and patent litigation. Dana also has experience in numerous aspects of trademark law and intellectual property licensing. She focuses her practice on intellectual property matters in the chemical and materials science arts for various industries, and has experience in the areas of consumer products, industrial materials and processes, and medical supplies and devices. As a former chemical engineer, Dana received two U.S. patents for her work in the design of chemical treatments and treatment systems for nonwoven materials for consumer and medical applications.
Prior to joining Womble Carlyle, Dana was an associate at Morris, Manning & Martin, LLP in Atlanta. Dana also served as a patent attorney at Kimberly-Clark Corporation, where her primary focus was in the area of natural rubber and synthetic gloves for scientific and medical applications. She also has significant experience in the areas of consumer and surgical temperature therapy and medical supplies, including fenestration materials, surgical drapes, gowns, shoe covers, face masks and shields, and instrument sterilization wrap.
