Daniel M. Attaway

Daniel Attaway is an Associate in Womble Carlyle’s Intellectual Property Practice Group in the firm’s Wilmington, Delaware office. He represents clients in patent litigation in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical sectors, with a focus on Abbreviated New Drug Application (“ANDA”) litigation. In addition, Daniel has experience managing cases involving large scale document and e-discovery collection and review.
Daniel also has served as Delaware counsel for out of state clients before the United States District Court for the District of Delaware. In law school, Daniel served as a Judicial Extern for the Honorable Ronald A. Guzman in the United States Court for the Northern District of Illinois and as a research assistant at The Institute for Science, Law, and Technology at Chicago-Kent College of Law.
Prior to beginning his legal career, Daniel worked for four years as a process and production engineer. During his time as an engineer, Daniel worked in basic chemicals, including hydrocarbon processing, monomers, and plastics. Daniel has practical experience in the design and optimization of chemical processes and the manufacture of commodity chemicals, including pharmaceutical carriers, food additives, and plastic resins.
