Elisa is an Employee Benefits/ERISA attorney having broad experience with both retirement and welfare plans and related compliance issues for a variety of clients.
Her experience includes:
- Advising clients on issues involving qualified and nonqualified retirement plans and welfare plans;
- Assisting clients with legal compliance and planning for employee benefit plans, including 401(k)/profit sharing, 403(b), defined benefit, ESOP, and cafeteria plans;
- Drafting and amending retirement and welfare plan documents;
- Analyzing business structures and relationships to determine presence of controlled or affiliated service groups;
- Analyzing legislation and IRS rulings requiring amendments to employee benefit plans;
- Preparing plan corrections and submissions under the IRS' EPCRS program and the DOL's Voluntary Correction Programs;
- Preparing determination letter applications for retirement plans with respect to required restatements and plan terminations;
- Advocating for and assist clients with IRS and DOL plan audits;
- Assisting clients with employee benefit issues arising from corporate acquisitions.
