Emily’s law practice focuses on various aspects of commercial and real estate finance and general real estate matters, including:
 
  • Representation of borrowers and lenders in connection with secured senior and subordinated debt facilities; 
  • Corporate and acquisition finance;
  • Real estate finance, including commercial and residential acquisition and development lending and construction lending;
  • Commercial real estate sales and purchases; and
  • Commercial real estate leasing, including representation of tenants in connection with the leasing of office space, retail space and warehouse/industrial space.
Beginning her legal career in an economic downturn, Emily has particular experience in the following areas:
 
  • Assessing lender’s rights in multiple credit facilities;
  • Evaluating lender’s collateral position;
  • Documenting loan restructures and forbearance arrangements; and
  • Assisting lenders in the exercise of post-default remedies, including by conducting real and personal property foreclosures.
