Jim Phillips is a member in the Winston-Salem office of Womble Carlyle Sandridge & Rice, PLLC where he specializes in the areas of antitrust, international trade, and intellectual property law. During his thirty-one years of practice, he has advised U.S. and foreign clients on all aspects of antitrust compliance, merger control, sales and distribution, pricing and advertising, technology licensing, and intellectual property protection in the U.S. and international marketplaces. Jim has represented companies in federal (DOJ, FTC) and state investigations relating to price-fixing, mergers and acquisitions (including Hart-Scott-Rodino filings), and false advertising.

Over the past decade, Jim has played a leadership role in the Firm's development of its international practice capabilities and currently serves on the steering committee of the Firm's Global Business Group.

Jim is a member of the Firm Management Committee, having served in this capacity since 2006. He also leads the Womble Carlyle Alliance, an initiative to strengthen the Firm's relationships with select, high-quality, North Carolina-based law and CPA firms.
