Lawyer Bio : Jeffrey M. Hahn

Jeff Hahn is an accomplished litigator, with over 20 years of experience in a wide array of matters. For the past nine years, Jeff has brought his litigation experience to bear in managing large-scale discovery, principally in complex civil litigation and government investigations. Jeff has managed large-scale document collections, reviews and productions in dozens of cases. He has organized, trained and managed document review teams as large as 150 attorneys and paralegals. His various review teams have collected, reviewed and produced literally millions of documents. He has particular depth of experience in organizing and designing effective document review strategies and in instructing and leading large teams of document reviewers, using cost-effective methods. In recent years, much of the focus of his practice has been on handling large-scale electronic discovery, designing strategies to effectively limit the amount of electronic material collected and to review and produce large quantities of material as economically as possible. He has managed discovery in a wide array of cases, including large-scale civil and criminal government investigations, product liability litigation, intellectual property disputes, antitrust matters, tax cases, commercial disputes, and class action employment matters.

In each of these cases, Jeff’s primary goal is to establish cost-effective systems that allow the client to remove document discovery as a pressure-point in the litigation and help the client win the case.

In Jeff’s twelve years of practice before focusing on managing large-scale discovery, he handled a broad array of labor and employment matters, working out of Washington, D.C, Boston, and North Carolina. His practice included representing employers in all manner of employment discrimination and wrongful discharge claims, ERISA breach of fiduciary duty cases, nationwide class actions, and covenant not to compete and trade secret litigation. He represented management in a wide-range of traditional labor law matters, including unit determination hearings, union election campaigns, defense of unfair labor practice charges, jurisdictional dispute hearings, collective bargaining, secondary boycotts, and mergers and acquisitions. He also counseled employers on a wide variety of employment and traditional labor law issues.
