As examples of the scope of Mr. Hagner's practice, he served for thirty years as real estate advisor and member of the Assets and Liabilities Committee and now serves as general counsel to a medium-size, non-profit life insurance company. He is serving his sixteenth year as real estate counsel to a major university. He served as lead lender counsel for six years in the workout, enforcement, settlement, foreclosure, renovation and syndication for the largest condominium in Washington, D.C. He served as one of three lead attorneys on an over $1 billion portfolio of government insured multifamily loans with substantial default and enforcement problems.

Mr. Hagner is ranked among Baltimore and Washington D.C.’s Best Lawyers in Real Estate Law in 2011, and named in 2009 among the top Washington, DC lawyers in real estate by Washingtonian magazine and among the “Greater Washington Legal Elite” by Washington Smart CEO magazine. In 2006, Mr. Hagner again was named as one of the United States lawyers listed worldwide under Real Estate in The International Who’s Who of Business Lawyers by Business Law Research Ltd. in London, England. Additionally, he was listed in the 2006, 2008, & 2011 editions of The Best Lawyers in America, in the 2007 & 2008 editions of Washington, D.C.
