Joyce represents clients on a variety of advertising and marketing issues in both traditional and new media. Recent matters have included compliance with federal and state trade rules and policies; advertising disclosures responding to unfair competitor advertising; internet privacy policies; and myriad antitrust issues in varied industries.

Joyce’s practice is founded on twelve years of law enforcement and senior advisory experience at the Federal Trade Commission. At the FTC, Joyce held significant responsibility for enforcing federal laws prohibiting unfair and deceptive practices in the advertising and marketing of consumer goods and in the provision of financial services. She served nearly five years as attorney-advisor to a Commissioner, reviewing and recommending law enforcement actions in both antitrust and consumer protection matters. As an advisor, Joyce participated in deliberations at the highest level of the Commission, including issues of legal sufficiency, strategic enforcement policy, and appropriate remedial relief.
