Kel has more than 20 years experience in business and legal services leading and growing startups, middle market turnarounds and global organizations. He has lived in Asia and Europe working closely with ministers of countries and business leaders, and has taught multicultural and leadership seminars at MIT's Sloan School of Management. Kel is a pioneer in legal sales being among the first in the U.S. to focus full-time on sales efforts within a large law firm. At Womble Carlyle, he is responsible for leading consultative, client-centric sales initiatives especially in Life Sciences, Product Liability, and Environmental/Energy/Toxic Torts. Kel brings a real-world, practical perspective having worked closely with both business executives and lawyers alike, having hired law firms as a client/entrepreneur/operations executive himself, and having worked for many years within law firms as well.

Kel has given numerous presentations to state bar associations, international and national industry and trade groups, universities, business and law schools, including many CLEs for the legal profession.
