  • Embezzlement
  • Internal theft
  • Internal investigations
  • Tax charges
  • Traffic defense

In addition, a substantial portion of Kurt’s practice involves representation in crimes against corporate victims, including embezzlement, internal theft and employee drug use.

Kurt’s white collar defense practice is founded upon eleven years of experience on the government side of the courtroom, where he served as a prosecutor. Kurt’s practice covers both state and federal court.

Kurt’s work also includes representation of companies and institutions performing animal-based biomedical research. He has extensive experience in both counseling businesses on avoiding confrontations with animal rights activists as well as defending them against attacks from such groups. He can provide clients with the experience  needed to minimize their risks in this increasingly litigious climate.

He currently serves our firearm manufacturing and sales clients with emphasis on advising them regarding regulatory issues.

An avid competitive shooter, hunter and fisherman, Kurt volunteers his time with Womble Carlyle summer associates to introduce them to the shooting sports by hosting an annual Firm sporting clays tournament.
