Lela Ames is a business litigation attorney with particular experience in litigating real estate and contract disputes.
Lela represents large homebuilding companies in a variety of real estate litigation matters, including complex business disputes involving multiple parties, millions of dollars and complex issues of law and fact. Many of these cases involve contractual, environmental, and land/infrastructure improvement issues. She counsels clients at all stages of litigation, including depositions, electronic discovery, dispositive motions, trials and appeals. Lela has represented clients in a variety of federal and state courts, including cases in Maryland, Delaware, the District of Columbia, Virginia, Connecticut and North Carolina.
She also has litigated vendor/vendee cases involving contract issues.
