Lindsay has a broad range of experience in commercial real estate transactions, real estate finance, and secured transactions. He represents clients engaged in real estate acquisitions and dispositions, financing, development, and leasing. He maintains a balance in his representation of borrowers and lenders, and of landlords and tenants, to insure an active working familiarity with the needs and requirements of all parties to transactions in which he is involved.

Lindsay has completed transactions over the past years that include:

  • Represented two separate clients in acquisitions of two regional retail malls.
  • Represented separate developers in two multi-use urban condominium projects.
  • Served as lender’s counsel to five lending institutions in 30 separate secured construction and permanent loan transactions, having an aggregate face amount in excess of $200,000,000, and with collateral including retail, office, hospitality, health care, resort, residential, condominium, and multi-use facilities.
  • Served as borrower’s local counsel in eight separate loan transactions having an aggregate face amount in excess of $125,000,000, and pertaining to manufacturing, distribution, retail, apartment, office, hospitality, and business park collateral in South Carolina.
  • Represented clients in apartment, office, retail, and industrial acquisitions and sales having prices in the aggregate in excess of $80,000,000.
  • Closed purchases and sales of facilities for client in gasoline/convenience store business having aggregate prices in excess of $12,000,000.
  • Served as counsel to affiliated companies in a $50,000,000 credit facility.

Lindsay has been an active alumnus of Furman University, and presently serves as the President of the Furman University Foundation, Inc., which evaluates, accepts or rejects, manages and disposes of real estate and other non-cash gifts to the University. Lindsay is beginning a term as legal counsel to the Blue Ridge Council, Boy Scouts of America.
