Lou brings over 30 years of experience as a patent attorney to bear in client representation. His strengths include conducting complex patent portfolio analysis, patent conflict analysis and resolution, and developing strategies both domestically and internationally in the areas of patent procurement and market protection. His experience in mechanical and electro-mechanical technologies, software, telecommunications, and internet has enabled Lou to serve as a valuable resource to start-up companies and to well-established “high-tech” firms and universities.
 
Throughout his practice, Lou has provided specialized support to clients in areas of ownership rights and licensing, as well as investment and asset purchasing due diligence (including among other services, analysis of title, scope of property rights, strength and scope of patent claims, and if appropriate, technical assessment). Lou provides years of experience and a special focus in international protection of intellectual property, which includes his prior multi-year assignment in Munich, Germany, where he advised European clients in his areas of experience.
