Marilyn Forbes has litigated in the products liability litigation arena since 1985. Her trial experience includes the successful defense of a state-wide medical monitoring class action in West Virginia brought against the tobacco industry. Marilyn is serving her second term on the Firm Management Committee (FMC). She serves on the FMC’s 3 member Executive Committee. Marilyn also heads up the Womble Carlyle Smoking & Health team.

Marilyn is as an adjunct professor at Duke University School of Law. Marilyn is also active in the community. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina, the Planned Parenthood Health Systems Board and the Community Partnerships, Inc. Board.
